Being offered for sale is the antique PIN/POLE/FOOT LIPPED SHIPWRIGHT'S ADZE by L. & I.J. WHITE COMPANY (weakly stamped, partial "1837" eye-shaped logo, just visible enough to identify, see 7th pic - also stamped "R A", presumably monogrammed by original/previous owner) from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess...possibly a bit older - company founded in 1837 but we believe the logo dates it to 1880 or later, as per internet research), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, with a light wire-wheel cleaning, as was required to reveal maker's mark. May require a thorough detailing/blade work/sharpening to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
